About Us
The Greater Washington College Info Center is a program of the Consortium
of Universities of the Washington Metropolitan Area designed to help students
of all ages reach their educational and career goals. The CIC's programs
and services include:
- Community Based College Resource Centers at the Martin Luther King,
Jr., Benning Branch and Washington Highlands Branch libraries
- Extensive collection of print and electronic resources on college,
career and financial aid topics
- Free advising services at all
locations staffed by experienced educational advisors
- Educational Talent Search (a federally
funded TRIO program)
- Outreach activities (workshops,
information sessions on college, career and financial aid topics)
- Electronic Newsletter on College Prep topics
- Publications and Professional Development/Training
The CIC serves more than 10,000 students and parents each year and is funded
