The Greater Washington College Info Center, a program of the Consortium of Universities, is a higher education information resource for the Washington Metropolitan area. Our mission is to inform, encourage and support the educational and career development of students and families by providing information about postsecondary and financial aid opportunities and

assistance with the application process. While our outreach and encouragement programs focus on students and families who are traditionally under-represented in higher education, our services are open to all.

The College Info Center programs are designed to create interest in postsecondary education and help families plan both academically and financially for college. In addition to information about postsecondary programs, CIC resources include information about other local programs and services that assist students and families with college preparation. By serving as a regional clearinghouse for programs and services related to postsecondary education, we bring a wide range of resources to individual students and families.

The CIC also supports other organizations involved in college access services by providing training and technical assistance to staff. CIC-developed fact sheets, brochures, booklets and newsletters are available to schools, libraries and community organizations. We have included links to other sites that will be helpful for professionals as well as to students and families in our More Resources section.
