Get Involved in the CIC!
The College Info Center was conceived as a collaborative effort by members of the Higher Education Information Partnership. We rely on the resources of a wide array of people and organizations who make our programs and services possible. However, the need is great and more help is always welcome! Possibilities include:
- Many local organizations and foundations
provide financial support for the CIC. We continue to see partners and
sponsors to maintain our current services and expand our programs to
serve more DC area families.
- Our advising center
is staffed by a wonderful cadre of volunteers with professional experience in higher education who share
their expertise with students and families on a daily basis. They also facilitate
workshops and information sessions on a variety of college planning, financial
aid and career topics.
- Graduate students
from a variety of local colleges and universities have also completed their
internship or practicum requirements
with us.
- Local community
organizations, churches and libraries partner with us to provide college planning workshops
for students and parents.
- Local corporations have provided
expertise, volunteers, equipment and volunteer incentives to support our
activities.
- Occasionally, part-time or full-time positions are available.
