Career and Trade Schools

Career and trade schools provide career-specific education for a variety of career fields. A range of degrees - from short-term certificates to post-baccalaureate - are available at over 900 institutions across the country.

Typically, career-specific training is provided in fields such as Business Skills, Allied Medical Professions, Computers, Commercial Art, Hospitality and Culinary Arts, and technical trades such as HVAC, aviation, welding, etc.

Students who are considering enrolling in a career or trade school are encouraged to review the questions in our fact sheet called Choosing a Career, Trade or Technical School.
